International Migratory Bird Day

The monthly Hornsby Bend Bird Observatory Bird Survey takes place this Saturday May 14 at Hornsby Bend. Since the 14th is International Migratory Bird Day, the public is encouraged to participate on novice to expert teams. Come help count the many migrants moving through Hornsby Bend. Gather at 6:30 a.m. for light breakfast at Hornsby Bend in the Center for Environmental Research. Morning survey begins at 7 a.m. with tally at 11 a.m. Also from CER building, the afternoon survey is 4 p.m. to sundown. May survey leader is Mikael Behrens - mobile phone: (512)431-9136.
